Supplier network with 3,000 customers
Jointly with SAP and SupplyOn, SEEBURGER AG has further enlarged the most comprehensive network of suppliers in the automotive industry, thereby putting the concept of colllaborative commerce into practice.
SEEBURGER supplies the technical substructure for smooth and trouble-free data interchange, consisting of its robust Business Integration Server (BIS) and the Web application that handles the exchange of over 200,000 messages a month between more than 3,000 suppliers in over 30 countries.
The SEEBURGER WebEDI system covers all order, delivery and payment transaction across the entire supply chain, with SEEBURGER transferring classic electronic data interchange and mapping of standardised transactions to the Internet. At the same time the high-performance SEEBURGER solution is integrated into the SupplyOn portal.
The purchasing company`s data, send to SupplyOn by EDI, is relayed to the WebEDI system by the SEEBURGER Business Integration Server and placed at the supplier`s disposal as a Web form. All that the supplier needs to call down or enter the data is a PC and acitve Internet access. Messages generated in the WebEDI system flow in the opposite direction via the central integration platform back to the customer. That leads to an elimination of media discontinuity and an optimisation and acceleratiion of processes along the entire supply chain. The team consisting of SAP, SupplyOn and SEEBURGER has thereby paved the way for genuine collaborative partnership on an electronic basis.
