SupplyOn Collaboration Folders:
Greater Transparency during Joint Development Projects

Development projects with a number of teams from different companies involved, present great challenges when it comes to managing documents. Various documents must be exchanged between the different companies. These documents must also be edited on a joint basis and then centrally filed. This must all take place under the strictest security standards. The more complex a project is and the more partners involved in it, the more important it is to access older versions and be able to follow any changes accurately. SupplyOn Collaboration Folders helps you to cope with these challenges, even in highly complex development projects, and to keep track of what is going on.

The Benefits
All internal and external project members have access to a central system and therefore work with up-to-date data at all times.
Communication with your development partners is improved, the error rate falls and your coordination outlay is reduced.
You benefit from shorter development times and lower development costs.

How it works: SupplyOn Collaboration Folders offer a virtual project room in which all documents relating to a development project are available to the entire team. Both classic projects and other collaborative scenarios involving various partners can be set up in the development and production phases. A number of examples are shown below.

With change management, the project team is able to assess and comment on alternative designs. On this basis, change requests and decisions can be documented in a way everyone understands.
During a concept competition, a number of development partners work on the same task. The task is available in a central area to everyone involved. Each development partner files their concepts and the results of their work in a separate work area. Only that partner and the company managing the project have access to this work area.
During the discussion of engineering changes, both internal and external suggestions can be assessed, commented on and developed further within the team. Any accepted suggestions can be filed with write protection.
