WebEDI

With all the advantages of classic EDI, but without the high costs of common EDI solutions, WebEDI allows data and information to be exchanged and accessed, but does not require the individual company to obtain complex hardware and software. An Internet browser is enough to handle delivery, transport, storage, and quantity information efficiently. Further functionalities include data processing for credit notes, delivery note printouts and label printouts, as well as forwarder pickup advice.

Wizard

Frequently used term for program functions that can simplify routine tasks for the user. In applications that use the German language, this is often referred to as an Assistent. Such applications support the user and provide him with help for complex processes. They guide the user step by step, ask for necessary data and finally generate the completed results.

XML - Extensible Markup Language

XML is an open Internet standard allowing partners to easily exchange information via the Internet, intranet or networks. XML is a language based on SGML, with which markup languages can be defined, and was standardized by the World-Wide-Web Consortium in 1998. Unlike SGML or HTML, specific parts of XML can be user-defined and used within the same document. As such, XML offers significantly more flexibility for page layout and data handling.
