SupplyOn opens a subsidiary in Shanghai
SupplyOn has once again extended its international presence
and opened a subsidiary in Shanghai. “By opening an
office in China, we are a large step closer to our aim –
to support our customers in Asia as best we can, and to offer
them an efficient infrastructure. For us, this means that
we can look after our
existing and new customers in China better; we will also be
more accessible for companies from countries like Korea, Taiwan,
Malaysia and Singapore", says Markus Quicken, a member
of the board at SupplyOn AG.

SupplyOn
and SEEBURGER integrate their B2B service platforms
SupplyOn AG and SEEBURGER AG announced an extensive cooperation,
at the heart of which lies the two companies integrating their
B2B service platforms. The partnership will produce the world’s
biggest supply chain network in the automotive and production
industries.
The joint solution from SupplyOn and SEEBURGER is very attractive
for those companies that want smooth integration with both customers
and suppliers through a single service provider. They can benefit
from around 5000 suppliers who already use SupplyOn and the
many customer links (hubs) that SEEBURGER’s outsourcing
services can already provide.
The other party to benefit from the partnership are the some
5000 suppliers who already communicate
with their customers via SupplyOn by WebEDI because they will
be able to conveniently reach all other customers through one
central system.

In Practice

Yazaki chooses SupplyOn as its strategic
partner
Yazaki Europe Ltd., the European subsidiary of Japanese company
Yazaki, has opted for SupplyOn as its strategic partner for
supplier management optimization. The company plans to introduce
SupplyOn’s solutions to nine sites across Europe and
to integrate around 120 suppliers. The company is currently
introducing the SupplyOn Project Management solution. It enables
the planning of development projects in a structured manner
using the standardized APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
method while facilitating the integration of suppliers, and
allows these projects to be processed transparently. Additionally,
Yazaki
will use SupplyOn to exchange forecast delivery schedules,
delivery and transport data, and bills with its suppliers.

Services

New solution for transport management
allows complete transparency
SupplyOn is adding a new solution for controlling and monitoring
transport processes to its logistics module. This means that
carriers and logistics service providers can be integrated
via EDI into the exchange of data between customers and suppliers.
The carrier is informed of an imminent delivery of goods by
a transport order from the purchasing company and can also
confirm this order via SupplyOn. The supplier transmits to
the carrier the precise time of collection in a dispatch note.
During transport the customer receives regular updates on
the status of a consignment. The system has the huge benefit
of making all deliveries around the world transparent. If
the arrival of a delivery is postponed, the customer can change
production to suit with plenty of warning.
