Dear Sir or Madam,

"Simple and fast" - that was the motto SupplyOn used to completely redesign its Sourcing and Vendor Managed Inventory Solutions. As initial users can confirm, it has been a great success. Both solutions have gone live in the past few weeks. Users of both solutions will be gradually switched over in the coming months.

The new solutions are based on an innovative and intuitive user interface concept. It only takes a few mouse clicks to implement the most important workflows. Users can individually configure their user environment and adapt it to meet their individual needs.

Find out more about what these two solutions have to offer. We hope this newsletter gives you some interesting insights.

Kind regards,

Your SupplyOn Team

Preparing requests and quotations easily and quickly

With the new Sourcing solution, requests for quotations can be prepared and responded to in the shortest possible time. It makes functions of Excel - which, according to surveys, is the most popular software among purchasing departments - available online, thus it is ranking among the fastest and easiest sourcing solutions on the market.

The new Sourcing solution supports requests both in the project as well as in serial buying. For the first time, suppliers that are not registered with SupplyOn can also be integrated into the request for quotation. This allows SupplyOn to implement a universal electronic process company-wide, thus eliminating parallel processes per e-mail.

"We have found that many solutions are too complex and are not used widely enough after being introduced in a company. Frequently, users switch to e-mails, but, in doing so, have to put up with numerous disadvantages like insufficient data security," explains Markus Quicken, Chairman of the Executive Board of SupplyOn AG. "The new Sourcing solution consistently takes into account the needs of the user and it is easy to use without additional training."

Reducing inventories and lowering capital costs

Thanks to its completely new Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solution, SupplyOn has considerably simplified a material planner`s daily work both on the customer as well as the supplier side, thus ensuring the highest transparency. The VMI process enables suppliers to view the inventories and demands of their customers and assumes the material planning at the customer`s stock. Within defined maximum and minimum limits for the inventory, suppliers can flexibly plan and adjust their production to their customers` actual requirements and their own capacities. This consequently lowers inventories, optimally utilizes production and the transport network and frees tied-up capital.

The Alert Monitor, which immediately visualizes critical situations, is a key element of the new VMI solution. Users can define messages that are relevant for them, and have these displayed on the Alert Monitor or via an automatic e-mail messaging system. The history function, which allows every change to inventories, inventory limits and requirements to be traced for the previous months, is also very helpful. It is especially useful with incorrect deliveries, allowing the causes of such to be clarified quickly and easily.

Also, the new VMI solution makes delivery reliability transparent. If inventories fall below or exceed limits, the system automatically generates assessment data, which is integrated into the supplier assessment according to defined rules.

For SupplyOn speed was also an extremely important aspect of the new VMI solution. Even very comprehensive selections and detailed inventory projections are displayed practically immediately. This means users can work more productively and concentrate on their core activities.
