June 26, 2006
As of July 2006, SupplyOn, the Internet platform for the automotive and manufacturing industry, will be fielding a solution for the efficient and transparent handling of complaints with suppliers: the SupplyOn Problem Solver. In presenting this new solution, SupplyOn is rounding off its product portfolio in the quality management area. The tool enables the online processing of complaints according to the 8D method, in which quality flaws are eliminated in a sustained manner by way of eight defined steps. This increases transparency and improves process reliability and stability in joint problem solving.
The SupplyOn Problem Solver can be directly linked up to the quality management system of the buying company and offers suppliers the opportunity to process complaints in a structured manner according to the 8D method. All participants have the same view of information, and the communicated processes are well structured and documented. The main benefits for users: the 8D reports can be consistently processed, thereby avoiding repeat errors.
Full integration into the MHP AddOn Complaint Cockpit
Users of the SAP QM quality management system will benefit from the fact that the SupplyOn Problem Solver can be fully integrated by way of a standard interface into the Complaint Cockpit of the IT consulting company Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP). The cockpit enables the seamless flow of complaint and 8D information over several steps – from the manufacturer to the system supplier and all the way through to the parts supplier. In addition, customer complaints can be fully integrated into the SAP QM, by way of customer portals, for example.
