SupplyOn adds transport management technology from inet-logistics to its portfolio
Portfolio expansion allows significant savings to be made in logistics costs through the seamless integration of procurement and transport management processes
SupplyOn AG, provider of the leading web platform for cross-company collaboration in the manufacturing industry, is implementing technology from inet-logistics GmbH on the SupplyOn platform. This will add fully developed and comprehensive transport management functions to the existing SCM solution from SupplyOn.
The result is a software-as-a-service solution that is unique on the market and makes the entire process transparent – from the demand notification, the shipment and transport planning through to the freight invoice. In addition, the portfolio includes modules for empties and slot management. The integrated solution makes complex global logistics networks transparent and manageable. It offers companies substantial savings potential that cannot be achieved with conventional transport management solutions.
The software from inet-logistics GmbH is already used today in over 80 countries to plan and manage more than 60 million shipments. The solutions from SupplyOn are used at around 11,000 companies in 70 countries. This widespread use is not only proof of the acceptance of the solutions, but, most importantly, the prerequisite for successful global implementation projects.
inet is a leading provider of global Transport Management Systems (TMS). The inet TMS systematically supports all relevant tasks for managing complex transport networks in inbound and outbound logistics. The software has a modular structure and can be scaled both horizontally and vertically. It can be expanded at any time and used for the following areas in transport logistics: domestic and international shipments, courier and express shipments, FTL and LTL, cross docking, multi-mode shipments (air, sea, and road) and a combination of full and empty load flows. inet TMS allows companies to interact with all the partners in their supply chain in real time, free from media disruptions and redundancies, and on a role-specific basis. Individual transport, information and IT structures are turned into an effective and powerful virtual unit, providing maximum transparency for all relevant inventory and transaction data.
The inet TMS is currently used by more than 30,000 users in over 80 countries.
