SupplyOn celebrates its fifth anniversary:
The concept of a comprehensive collaboration platform for the automotive industry proves a success story

SupplyOn AG, the Internet services provider to the automotive industry is now celebrating its fifth anniversary. In response to the automotive industry’s needs for standardized processes, leading, internationally active suppliers to the automotive industry founded the platform in the year 2000. In the meantime, the web-based collaboration and solution platform has successfully positioned itself on the market: the concept of a comprehensive supplier portal has become a reality.

The success figures
Today, a total of around 25,000 users in more than 8,500 companies from more than 30 different countries are harnessing the solutions of the automotive network. SupplyOn has been in the black since two years and is expecting to post turnover of approximately EUR 20 million for the 2005 business year. “Thanks to a realistic and substantial business idea, SupplyOn has developed very well, in spite of the strained market situation,“ states Markus Quicken member of the board Sales, Services & Finance at SupplyOn AG. “With the help of its clients and partners, SupplyOn has succeeded in establishing itself as the de-facto standard in supplier management.“

The development of SupplyOn solutions has always proceeded in close dialog with clients. The practical, hands-on know-how of leading corporations such as Bosch, Continental, Siemens VDO Automotive or ZF, as well as the knowledge contributed by many smaller suppliers have flowed directly into the processes and functions of the supplier portal. In future too, the company will continue to consistently further develop and extend its solutions in line with market and user requirements in the areas of sourcing, engineering, supply chain management and quality management.
