Maximum Product Quality Thanks to Transparent Advance Quality Planning

SupplyOn Project Management ensures the success of complex development projects in the automotive and manufacturing industries

SupplyOn AG, the supplier of the leading communication platform for the automotive and manufacturing industries, is setting new standards in intuitive user navigation with a new solution for efficient advance quality planning. The new version of SupplyOn Project Management is a structured, transparent system for planning and handling development projects using standardized APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) methodology while enabling business partners and suppliers to be integrated into the process. In contrast to paper-based advance quality planning, everyone involved in the process can see the status of the development project at all times. SupplyOn Project Management allows any product- or process-related problems to be detected immediately; thus the software ensures successful completion of development projects and a smooth production start-up.

Flying start with the right project templates
Specific templates for different types of projects allow development projects to be structured and scheduled in no time. Each project element within a template can be assigned to an internal or external team member. These templates serve as the basis for the introduction of company-wide standards in the development of new products.

Numerous functions for maximum project transparency
The new version of SupplyOn Project Management makes transparent any changes implemented during an ongoing project, for example new deadlines or changes to documents, listing them in a continuously updated change history. A traffic light function shows how close deadlines are and users will also be notified via e-mail. Status reports can be generated at any time on the basis of the current project data, and printed out in easy-to-read DIN A4 format.

The process of data synchronization with internal systems has also been optimized. If a new project is created, for example, part numbers and other information can be transferred from the customer’s own systems through a special interface. Data can also be transferred to internal systems from SupplyOn Project Management.

Another important function of particular use to managers is the search function that uses customer-specific criteria such as location or material group code. Using this function, the user can identify all company projects that meet a set of given criteria and integrate them into management reports – all at the touch of a button.

SupplyOn sets new standards
When the new solution was being developed, priority was given to intuitive user navigation to make the complex APQP process as transparent as possible for the user. The new Web 2.0-based user concept confirms SupplyOn’s position as the undisputed market and innovation leader for on-demand software. “This signals the start of a comprehensive redesign of our solutions”, says Stefan Brandner, Director Product Management at SupplyOn AG. “SupplyOn is setting new standards in user-friendliness and making even highly complex processes intuitive for all users.”
