The central purchasing department at Robert Bosch GmbH has introduced a comprehensive tool for optimising its quality management processes that is essentially based on solutions from SupplyOn. The Bosch Q-Portal, as it is known, supports the purchasing strategy of the company, which operates on a global scale. Numerous quality-related processes are handled via the Q-Portal, including the processing of complaints based on the standardised 8D method, preventive quality planning, and the creation of initial sample inspection reports. The three SupplyOn solutions Problem Solver, Performance Monitor and Document Manager are used in this context.  The Q-Portal was established by the Bosch Group’s central purchasing department within just a few months and will be regarded as the group standard in future. By the start of 2008, some 1,000 suppliers will be connected to the portal, via which they will also be provided with information from Bosch’s internal purchasing quality management system. "We believe that the integration of several quality-related processes into a single portal will bring us not only significant process optimisation, but also a further increase our long term product quality", says Herbert Denkert, Project Manager in the central purchasing and logistics department of Robert Bosch GmbH. "With its advanced product portfolio, SupplyOn provides us with the standard processes we need for this."
