Kautex optimizes Global Supplier Management with SupplyOn

Kautex Textron, one of the 100 top-selling system suppliers for the automotive industry, is optimizing its supply chain management with support from SupplyOn. The globally operating company, which in the year 2006 achieved sales of 1.23 billion euros, will implement the solutions from SupplyOn in Europe, America and Asia.

“Our positioning as one of the leading partners of the automobile industry demands efficient and faultless processes as well as a consistent focus on our core capabilities”, says Christoph Hermes, Chief Information Officer of Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. KG. “Therefore we were looking for an established partner who will support us in the global optimization and automation of our supplier management.”

Kautex will utilize the WebEDI solution from SupplyOn to automatically exchange information such as delivery instructions, shipping notifications and self-billing invoices with suppliers over the Internet. The company also plans to use the Inventory Collaboration solution to realize innovative disposition methods such as Vendor Managed Inventory and eKanban. Kautex will gradually introduce these solutions in a total of 24 plants in Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, the Czech Republic and the United States.
