AirSupply - SupplyOn and EADS' joint cloud project - has been selected by an exclusive jury to take part in the final of the COMPUTERWOCHE Best in Cloud award 2011. A team of around 150 project members designed the hybrid cloud solution AirSupply - a combination of a public and private cloud - for the entire European aerospace industry. The solution displays complex collaboration processes in the field of supply chain management. It ensures that processes for order prognoses, orders and shipping notifications run smoothly, goods are received with ease and the consumption-controlled logistics concept Vendor Managed Inventory is implemented without difficulty.

SupplyOn has been the platform standard for the automotive industry for over ten years now. This project also contributed to promote the company as a trustworthy partner for the aerospace industry. Once again AirSupply confirms that a joint industry solution outmatches company-specific individual solutions. This is reason enough for the jury of the Best in Cloud award 2011 to select SupplyOn as finalist in the "Software as a Service - hybrid cloud" category.

The winners of the Best in Cloud award 2011 will be revealed on 13 and 14 October 2011 at the COMPUTERWOCHE cloud conference in Offenbach/Frankfurt, Germany.
