Capacity Management enhanced New collaborative approach allows the structured assessment of capacity information
SupplyOn Capacity Managment enables the continuous matching of demand and capacity between two companies. Now, SupplyOn has supplemented this process with an assessment-driven component that for the first time allows a closer look at the supplier's information.
This can be useful in a variety of situations, such as poor quality or delivery performance, in the start-up phase and for new developments, for strategically important parts, for new suppliers - or simply to reduce the general risk in the supply chain.
The new development allows the customer to perform a structured evaluation of the information communicated by the supplier regarding his capacities in an intuitive process. State-of-the-art technology ensures high efficiency and security of the process.
On the functional level, the tool offers, among other things, integrated action management, download and notification options, as well as a simulation function for performing what-if scenarios in the event of demand changes.
The new process originates from the aerospace industry and has been used there in collaboration with suppliers for some time. Now, for the first time, it has been integrated into the SupplyOn Capacity Management tool and can be used much more easily and collaboratively – even by companies from other industries.
